About 1810 Emerson House B&B

Unforgettable Fare
Breakfast is served each morning on fine china in our formal dining area. With Beth’s extensive collection of antique china and Tony’s flair for presentation, every morning will be a feast for both the eyes and the palate.  Each evening before guests leave for dinner, a delectable antipasto plate with an assortment of tasty appetizers will be offered along with complimentary wine or sparkling cider.  Upon your return that evening, desserts will be available as a final treat before you retire for the night.

Well-Appointed Suites and Posh Amenities
Each of the two size-able suites pampers the guests with ultra-comfortable queen beds and cozy linens in a serene ambiance of restful elegance.  Each suite has its own private bath outfitted with Lord and Mayfair toiletries, a luxurious collection of distinctive products scented with the soothing powers of fresh flowers, herbs and fruits.  Emerson House caters to its discriminating guests with a mix of time honored and contemporary amenities.  The hallway beverage station is always stocked with a variety soft drinks and Keurig coffee pods. There is central air conditioning throughout along with free wireless Internet. And each room has a dual USB wall outlet for ease of charging all your electronic devices.

Thibault Suite
This suite is named in honor of Joseph Thibault, a French Canadian trader, Indian interpreter and first settler in the Beloit area.  With his heritage in mind, the room offers a sunny French Country ambiance with neutral wood furnishings featuring a pencil post canopy queen bed with luxurious linens and a lovely writing desk with its small collection of Shakespeare books.  If selected as a suite, the adjoining room includes a twin sleeper sofa and a turn of the century wardrobe that displays a flat screen TV with DVD player.  Adjacent to the suite is the private bathroom with full bath and shower, featuring original bathroom fixtures with subway tiling.  Luxurious bath robes are offered for comfortable room to room transitions.  Evening turn-down service is provided upon request.

Chamberlin Suite
This suite is named in honor of Thomas Chamberlin, a distant relative of one of the innkeepers and a prominent graduate of Beloit College.  He was one of the early presidents of the University of Wisconsin and is credited with originating the University of Chicago geology department.  With Chamberlin’s North Carolina and English roots in mind, this room offers a stately Colonial setting with rich cherry wood furnishings featuring a four poster Rice queen bed, claw foot six-drawer dresser and matching secretary.  This room features an ensuite bathroom with shower; bath robes and evening turn-down service are offered upon request. If you have a third guest joining you, a very comfortable top-of-the-line roll-away bed is available. A flat screen TV with DVD player is placed on the chest for ease of viewing.

Your Hosts
Tony and Beth have always had a knack for hosting and entertaining.  And they always enjoyed the intimacy and fellowship of staying at bed and breakfasts, hoping of one day running their own.  After decades of searching, in 2015 they believe the Lord led them to find a house in Beloit, WI that met all their qualifications for both a bed and breakfast venture and possibly their final home.  Confirmation after confirmation have given them the peace to know that this place was set aside specifically for them.  Come join them as they set out to pamper their guests as only they can!
